Pune:
Seven persons were on Sunday killed and at least 27 injured when the vehicle they were travelling overturned at Alefata area on Pune-Nashik Highway, police said.
Two out of the seven deceased have been identified as Sampat Baburao Jagtap (60) and Dattu Hari Shinde (52)-both from Ahmadnagar district-- while identity of the five others was yet to be established, police said.
The victims were travelling to Dehugaon in Pune district to attend a spiritual function.
The injured were rushed to a private hospital in Alefata and a governmental hospital in Narayangaon, police said.
