Pune: Two members of a family, including a one-and-a-half-year-old girl, were killed in an accident in Dighi on Tuesday morning.
According to the police, Narendra Sharma, a resident of Bhosari, along with his wife Bhakti and daughter Kavya, was on his way to Pune via Alandi on his motorcycle when a speeding PMPML bus hit the two-wheeler head-on.
The trio suffered serious head injuries and was rushed to a private hospital. Bhakti (26) and Kavya succumbed to their injuries while on their way to the hospital. Narendra's condition is said to be critical. Police said the couple was not wearing helmets.
