Kakinada:
Eleven people - nine women and two men - are reported killed in a huge fire at an Andhra Pradesh factory which makes fireworks. Six others, including the owner, have reportedly been injured.
Superintendent of Police Ravi Prakash said the fire broke out during a lunch break at the factory.
About 30 people were inside the factory when the incident happened; 7-8 people have been rushed to the Kakinada General Hospital.
Several fire engines are still trying to put out the flames at the factory which is located in Kakinada, about 160 km from the port city of Visakhapatnam.
The government has ordered an investigation. "We are verifying (the blast). Fire and forensic experts have rushed to the spot," Mr Prakash added.
