Tirunelveli: A 17-year-old girl was allegedly murdered by her two brothers for her relation with a Dalit boy in Tirunelveli district of Tamil Nadu, police said.
According to the cops, the brothers poured acid into the mouth of their sister and hanged her at their house in Seevalaperi village on Friday night. They have been arrested based on a complaint filed by the Village Administrative Officer Regina.
Police said the duo confessed to have killed their sister.
According to police, the girl had a relation with the Dalit boy, who was working in a fish processing unit. A few days ago, she had gone to his house and stayed with his family there.
Agitated by her action, her brothers went to Thiruvengadapuram to bring her back and later killed her, police said.
