"We are immediately going for demolishing of such buildings. If you look at the last month, we have demolished more than 30 structures in Secunderabad," said Hari Chandana Dasari, Zonal Commissioner for Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation or GHMC.
Mr Dasari added that the owners of property in question had obtained a stay order from court. "In these two buildings unfortunately, the tenants have gone to the court and obtained a stay on the demolition by GHMC. So that is where the problem has come up. Now we are trying to look at the criminal negligence on the part of the persons who are the owners of the dilapidated structures, so that they do not risk the people's lives in that building,'' he added.
