Visakhapatnam: A total of 242 cases were referred to the Cyber Crime Cell in Visakhapatnam in the last three years, Police Commissioner J Purnachandra Rao said today.
The Cell was set up in 2010.
Chargesheets had been filed in 133 cases, he added. While 105 cases were registered with the Cell last year, this year it had received 101 cases so far, the Commissioner said.
Commissioner Rao also informed that establishment of separate Cyber Crime Police Stations was under government's consideration.
He inaugurated Cyber Crime Cells at two police stations in the city today.
