Hyderabad : In a major reshuffle in the police department, the Andhra Pradesh government today transferred as many as 29 Indian Police Service (IPS) officers.
A B Venkateswara Rao, IGP of anti-terror force Octopus, has been promoted and posted as Additional Director General (ADG) in the same organisation, an official release said yesterday.
Umesh Sharaff, IGP (Personnel), has been appointed Additional DG (Personnel) in the existing vacancy.
D Tirumala Rao, a 1989-batch officer and IGP (North Coastal Zone), has been posted as Chairman of State Level Police Recruitment Board with Additional DG rank.
