Coimbatore: Forty girl students of a government polytechnic college in Coimbatore have been hospitalised following symptoms of food poisoning, hospital sources said.
The girls were admitted to the Coimbatore Medical College Hospital last night after they complained of nausea and vomited after dinner.
Initially they were taken to a private hospital but referred to CMCH when they continued to complain of sickness and acute stomachache, the sources said.
All of them were put on drips and given injections and their condition is now stated to be stable.
