A 55-year-old man from Tirupur died of swine flu at a government hospital in Coimbatore on Tuesday, hospital sources said.
The man hailing from Mudalipalayam in Tirupur was suffering from fever and throat pain and was undergoing treatment in a hospital at Perundurai in Erode district, for the last 15 days, hospital sources said.
As his situation was not improving, he was shifted to the government hospital where he was tested positive for swine flu (H1N1) virus, they said.
