Hyderabad : Six persons, including two women, were killed and another person was injured when a jeep they were travelling in collided with a state-run RTC bus in Khammam district of Telangana this evening, police said.
The victims, yet to be identified, were believed to be from Kanker in Chhattisgarh, police said.
The incident occurred at around 4.30 PM near Bantirevu village, between Bhadrachalam and Chintoor mandals, as the jeep collided head-on with the bus, additional superintendent of police Prakash Reddy told PTI.
The police had contacted the Chhattisgarh authorities in connection with the mishap, he said.
