Visakhapatnam: A six-year-old boy, crossing the road at Sainagar Colony died on the spot after being hit by an RTC bus in Anakapalle town in the district this evening.
The deceased was identified as Alla Manoj, a class one student of a private school in Anakapalle.
Tension prevailed for sometime as family members and relatives of the boy, tried to attack the driver of the RTC bus and staged demonstration demanding action against him, keeping the boy's body in front of the bus.
His family called off the agitation after Anakapalle traffic inspector A V Leela Rao assured them that a case of rash and negligent would be registered against the driver of the RTC bus.
