Visakhapatnam: A 80-year old woman was robbed of her gold ornaments and murdered by unidentified persons, who barged into her house at the fishermen colony near Visakhapatnam, police said today.
The victim K Yellaiahamma, was fast asleep when the assailants allegedly slit her throat last night and fled with three tolas of gold.
No arrests have been made so far and searches are on to nab the accused, police added.
