Bangalore: Afraid that his parents would scold him for scoring low marks in his final exam, a 15-year-old boy committed suicide at his residence in K R Puram on Tuesday, police said.
The boy, an eighth standard student of Sarvodaya School, hanged himself from the ceiling fan using a rope, they said.
His mother, a teacher, was away at school and father, who works for a private firm, had gone to the school to get the report card when the boy committed suicide, they said
