Andhra Pradesh bifurcation crisis: TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu to lead delegation in Delhi

Hyderabad: Telugu Desam Party chief N Chandrababu Naidu will lead a delegation of party leaders to New Delhi on September 21 to seek immediate solution to the current crisis in Andhra Pradesh over the bifurcation issue.

The delegation, comprising TDP leaders from both Andhra-Rayalaseema and Telangana regions, is expected to meet the President, the Prime Minister, and opposition leaders, to demand an immediate solution to the current crisis, party sources said.

The TDP chief has been alleging that Congress and the Centre pushed the state into turmoil.

"It's atrocious that the Centre has completely remained indifferent and failed to tackle the issue despite a people's agitation for the past 48 days," Mr Naidu said.

The Centre failed to appoint an official committee to sort out the issues arising out of the proposed division of the state, he said.

The former chief minister also demanded that the Centre immediately hold talks with all the concerned in the two regions - Andhra-Rayalaseema and Telangana.
