Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy on Wednesday congratulated Hyderabad-born Satya Nadella on being appointed the CEO of global software giant Microsoft.
The chief minister, in his message, said every Indian should be proud of Mr Nadella, who has made a great mark in the world of software.
"He made Telugu people proud," said Kiran Reddy while expressing his happiness over Mr Nadella's elevation.
The Microsoft's board on Tuesday named 46-year-old Mr Nadella as the CEO.
The chief minister also noted Mr Nadella was educated in Hyderabad Public School (HPS) and was also a member of the HPS cricket team.
"The younger generation should get motivated by such personalities," he said.
Kiran Reddy also did his schooling from the HPS and was a cricketer in his school and college days.
