Hyderabad:
The ongoing crisis in the administration over the state bifurcation issue notwithstanding, the Andhra Pradesh government today transferred 17 IAS officers but three of them have not been given new postings.
This is the second round of bureaucratic reshuffle this month and another round is expected soon as there are many vacancies to be filled and many officers have to be given new postings, sources in the General Administration Department said.
Shyam Kumar Sinha of 1982 batch has been posted as Principal Secretary (Services and Human Resources Management) in the General Administration Department.
Disaster Management Commissioner T Radha (1983) has been transferred and posted as Principal Secretary (Backward Classes Welfare), relieving A R Sukumar (1984).
Sukumar, however, has not been given a fresh posting.
J Raymond Peter (1984) has been made the new Principal Secretary (Rural Development) in the existing vacancy.
Sameer Sharma of 1985 batch, an expert in urban affairs, has been moved out as Excise Commissioner and made the Principal Secretary (Municipal Administration and Urban Development).
Adhar Sinha (1988), whom Sharma will be replacing, has not been given a fresh posting.
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation Commissioner M T Krishna Babu (1993 batch) has been transferred but not given a fresh posting.
Somesh Kumar (1989) will be the new Commissioner of GHMC, according to an order issued by Chief Secretary P K Mohanty.
Harpreet Singh (1991) has been posted as Commissioner (Appeals) in the office of Chief Commissioner of Land Administration while C Parthasaradhi (1993) has been made the Commissioner, Disaster Management.
