Kadapa: A close associate of Jammalamadugu Congress MLA Adinarayana Reddy was today injured in a bomb explosion at Suddapalli village in Kadapa, police said.
According to police, the incident took place this morning in PeddaMudiyam mandal when 40-year-old Mr Reddy was allegedly attacked by his rivals with country made smoke bombs, while he was returning from his sister's house in the village.
Two bombs were hurled at him leaving him seriously injured in the left hand and left leg.
According to his police complaint, seven people, who are supporters of TDP, attacked him.
Mr Reddy was the prime accused in the murder case of Pratap Reddy, a TDP supporter, who was killed last year.
