Hyderabad:
Yoga guru Baba Ramdev met Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu in Hyderabad this morning to drum up support for his anti-corruption movement.
This was the second meeting between the two in recent months on corruption and black money.
"Mr Naidu is in politics with pure thought of taking nation forward. And this is not just personal admiration, I applaud his character for wanting to take Andhra Pradesh and the nation forward. There will be campaign in India with the objective of showing how people are sick of this problem. We need to put political pressure and public pressure on the government. We want the whole nation, including Andhra Pradesh to stand in this fight. We want all parties, including Congress to be united in this fight. We are not against any political group. Our campaign will continue until black money can be brought back, and a strong Lokpal bill is passed," Baba Ramdev said after the meeting.
Mr Chandrababu has pledged support to Baba Ramdev as well as Anna Hazare in the fight against corruption and has organised apolitical campaigns in this regard across Andhra Pradesh.
"Ultimately, he is fighting for a noble cause. Everyone should extend support. He isn't asking for favour," said Mr Naidu.
In order to seek support for his movement against black money, Baba Ramdev has been meeting various political leaders.
