BJP fields Monappa Bhandari for July 25 by-poll to lone legislative council seat

Bangalore: BJP today decided to field Monappa Bhandari for the July 25 bye-election to the lone Legislative Council election seat.

BJP President Nitin Gadkari has cleared the candidature of Mr Bhandari, the party said in a release in Bangalore.

The by-poll was necessitated to fill up the vacancy caused following the death of Dr V S Acharya.
