Kannur:
Unidentified persons hurled a country-made bomb at the police quarters in Kerala's Kannur district early on Sunday morning.
The attack came hours after the DYFI Kannur Secretary, Rajishwar, was arrested as a suspect in the case involving stone pelting on Chief Minister Oommen Chandy's convoy last month.
The bomb was hurled in front of Sub-Inspector Sanil Kumar's residence, who is investigating the stoning incident.
There were no injuries.
There has been no reaction from the police who say they will speak to the media after the inquiry in the case is over.
Around 90 people have been arrested in the stone pelting incident with most of them affiliated to the Left parties. 86 among them have been granted bail.
Mr Chandy was injured in the stone pelting when he had gone to inaugurate the valedictory function of the Kerala Police athletic meet on October 27.
