Kochi: Brazil's star footballer Neymar may be missing in action as his team enters semi-finals in the FIFA World Cup 2014, but is making headlines in Kerala. Reports suggest that the player, who was stretchered out at the 88th minute of the quarter finals against Colombia, has been looking at Kerala's Ayurvedic treatment for recovery.
Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy's office has confirmed that there are discussions going on between Mr Chandy, the Health Minister and the Director for Ayurveda, after they were approached by few people from the Indian Football Association on behalf of Neymar.
Neymar fractured a vertebrae when he was fouled by Colombia's Juan Zuniga on July 4, ruling him out of the World Cup. The 22-year-old scored four goals in five matches this World Cup.
