Udhagamandalam:
Carcasses of three elephants were found at three different places in Nilgiris district on Saturday, forest officials said.
Based on the information given by the forest department's Anti-Poaching Squad, officials recovered the carcass of a one-and-half year male elephant from a tea estate at Keezh Nadugani near Gudalur, department sources said.
Similarly, a 35-year old female elephant was found dead in Thengumarada and a 10-year old male elephant at Neeralla area coming under Mudumalai Tiger Reserve, they said.
Post-mortem is being conducted on the animals, which could have died some three to four days ago, the sources said.
