Hyderabad,: A junior lawyer allegedly facing charges of colluding with other accused in the cash-for-bail case surrendered before an Anti-Corruption Bureau court in Hyderabad on Thursday.
Aditya, one of the accused in the cash-for-bail case involving former Karnataka minister Gali Janardhan Reddy, surrendered in the court and was later sent to judicial remand till August 2.
He was working with E Umamaheshwar Rao, the defence lawyer of mining baron Gali Janardhan Reddy.
Yadagiri, another accused in the case who has been arrested along with others, had alleged during his custodial interrogation that he gave Rs one crore to Aditya.
The ACB recently questioned senior advocate E Umamaheshwar Rao in connection with the case.
On the basis of confessional statement of Yadagiri that he also met Janardhan Reddy's relatives at the advocate's office, Umamaheshwar Rao was summoned and grilled in the case.
Aditya is eighth person to be arrested in the case. So far three serving judges and four others, including a retired judge T V Chalapathi Rao, have been arrested and are in judicial custody in connection with the case.
