Chennai:
23 women from Kolkata, Mumbai and Hyderabad who were forced into flesh trade, were rescued during an operation by the anti-vice squad in Chennai.
The squad, on a tip-off, undertook an operation in various parts of the city over the last two weeks, and rescued the women, a police release here said.
Nineteen people including six women were arrested for running the racket and for forcing the women into the flesh trade, it said.
The victims have been lodged at the Government homes in city, the release added.
