Thrissur:
Kerala Chief Minister, Oommen Chandy today said it was essential to arrest spiralling prices of essential commodities by distributing them at fair price.
Mr Chandy was speaking at a function after inaugurating the state-level distribution of the 50-Triveni Super Market Vehicles under the auspices of the Kerala State Co-operative Marketing Federation (Consumerfed).
With the distribution of 50 vehicles today, 59 assembly constituencies would be under the cover of the mobile Triveni supermarket facility.
By the December end, there would be one Triveni Mobile Super Market facility in all the assemblies of the State as part of the programme of taking Triveni stores to the door steps of the needs consumers.
Later, the chief minister handed over key of the mobile vehicles to the MLAs, Therambil Ramakrishnan, MP Vincent and P A Madhavan of the Thrissur, Ollur and Manalur assemblies in the district.
