Kochi:
About 300 volunteers from the Coast Guard along with their families today participated in a "clean up" drive along the nearby Fort Kochi beach.
The clean up drive was organised as part of the International Coastal clean up day today.
The chief guest Deputy Inspector General, T K S Chandran, District commander for Coast guard for Kerala and Mahe, addressed the gathering.
About two truck loads of trash and debris were collected during the drive and was transferred to a corporation dumping yard, a Coast Guard press release said.
