Coimbatore:
Three persons sustained bullet injuries when a person inside a car shot at them in a forest area near Mettuplayam in the district in Tamil Nadu on Wednesday.
Mahesh, Saravanan and Anand, of Kurunthamalai, peeped into the car parked on the roadside, when a person shot at them from inside the car, police said on Wednesday.
Mahesh sustained a bullet injury on neck, Saravanan on the hip and Anand on his hand, an officer said, adding that they were rushed to a hospital in Mettupalayam from where they were shifted to a private hospital in Coimbatore.
Hearing the gun shot, villagers rushed to the spot and managed to nab three persons inside the car, including a woman, while the police seized a pistol, he said.
The identity of the trio has not been ascertained yet.
