Salem, Tamil Nadu: A third-year Economics student was arrested in Salem, Tamil Nadu today for murdering his friend and an autorickshaw driver for reportedly refusing his sexual advances.
The student spilled the beans after he was caught cleaning a blood stained knife at a tank near the old bus stand in Salem by police.
The body of his friend was found at a theatre early this morning following which police launched an investigation and zeroed in on him.
The 21-year-old, studying in the government arts college in Salem, also told police he had murdered and disposed of the body of an autorickshaw driver on March 30 near a bushy area for the same reason.
Acting on his information, police recovered the body.
