New Delhi: The CPI-M on Tuesday hailed the CBI Special Court's decision to discharge its Kerala leader Pinarayi Vijayan from what came to be known as the SNC-Lavalin corruption case.
"This verdict exonerating Vijayan from the charges is welcome. It is a vindication of (our) stand that these charges are baseless, and it was a political motivated case," the CPI-M said in a statement.
Vijayan is the Secretary of the Kerala unit of the Communist Party of India-Marxist.
