
Visakhapatnam is bracing for Cyclone Hudhud which is expected to make landfall on Sunday

With cyclonic storm Hudhud expected to hit Andhra Pradesh on Sunday, the state government today requested the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) to provide satellite pictures of the coastal region.
Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has requested the central government to help the state by providing satellite pictures.
"These pictures will help in speeding up rescue and restoration work for officials and personnel monitoring the situation," a statement from the chief minister's office said today.
Large-scale evacuation efforts have already been taken up and the chief minister is monitoring the situation closely, it added.
