Visakhapatnam: It's Sunday morning in Visakhapatnam. The road above the city's Ramakrishna Beach is full of morning walkers and the fitness conscious. Small fishing boats could be seen out on the waters under a grey sky.
But this is not just another Sunday. Last night, Cyclone Phailin hit the east coast of India.
Waves being rough and high on the beach, it had been sealed off in the evening as the authorities kept the public away from the potentially dangerous ocean.
But Visakhapatnam was spared. There was no overnight rain in the city and in its surrounding areas, it was business as usual.
