Chennai: DMK Deputy floor leader in the Tamil Nadu Assembly Durai Murugan, was today suspended for five working days, while the party's floor leader MK Stalin was issued a strong warning by Speaker P Dhanapal.
The Speaker's announcement came soon after the Assembly adopted the report of the Deputy Speaker and Chairman of the House's Privileges Committee Pollachi V Jayaraman's report on an incident which occurred in October last.
Municipal Administration Minister K P Munusamy had raised the issue in the Assembly on some remarks made by Mr Stalin and Mr Murugan.
