Elections to AIADMK's General Secretary post, held by party supremo and Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa, will be held in Chennai on August 29 with the process starting from tomorrow.
The elections, held once in five years, were being conducted in lines with party rules in this regard, an AIADMK release said in Chennai today.
Nomination papers will be received from August 20 to 24 and they will be scrutinised on August 27. The last date for withdrawal of candidature will be Augsut 28, it said.
Party's Organisation Secretary Visalakshi Nedunchezhiyan would be the 'Election Commissioner' the release said, adding, polling will be held and results announced on August 29.
