Chennai: Kerala will unveil its reform agenda and drive for investments to business leaders and industry captains in Chennai on August 13 in the run up to its global investor meet 'Emerging Kerala' campaign next month.
Minister for industries and IT P K Kunhalikutty will lead the road show in Chennai, where he will invite investors and businesses explore the growing opportunities in Kerala, a press release said.
The first edition of this Global Connect will be held in Kochi from September 12-14.
The event, to be inaugurated Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, will see dignitaries from within India and abroad gather to review Kerala's socio-economic development models and discuss new ideas, projects and future strategies.
Kerala will also showcase hundreds of new projects and schemes across 26 sectors identified as being key drivers of economic growth. With the thrust of public-private partnership model, especially for infrastructure development, the projects offer investment opportunities ranging from a few lakhs to thousands of crores of Rupees, it said.
"Emerging Kerala is not an isolated exercise. We are backing our call for investment with all-round support, including policy frameworks, incentives and fast-track clearance systems," Mr Kunhalikutty said.
Kerala State Industrial Development Corporation is the no nodal agency for the summit. CII and National Association of Software and Services Companies are industry and trade partners.
