Erode: Authorities will probe complaints of cheating against an owner of an Emu farm functioning at Perundurai near Erode, officials said today.
District Collector V K Shanmugam said the man, Guru, running the farm had allegedly collected Rs 1.50 lakh each from people for rearing the emu, promising them that he would pay Rs 7,000 a month.
Hundreds of people converged at the farm yesterday stating that no amount was paid to them during this month, officials said.
The Erode District Revenue Officer, Revenue Divisional Officer and Tahsildar of Perundurai will probe the complaints.
