Enrica Lexie case: Marines submit list of translators
Kollam: The two Italian marines, facing murder charges for shooting dead two Indian fishermen from the ship Enrica Lexie, on Monday submitted a panel of four translators for rendering proceedings in the trial court in Kollam from English to Italian.

District and Sessions Court Judge P D Rajan adjourned further hearing in the case to July 10 after the marines submitted the list of translators.

The marines, Latore Massimilliano and Salvatore Girone, the first and second accused in the case, were present in the court when the proceedings resumed.

The two men, engaged for security of the Italian vessel Enrica Lexie, were arrested on February 19 for opening fire and killing fishermen Jalestine and Ajesh Binki, who had ventured into the sea from Neendakara near Kollam in a fishing boat with nine others on board.

Kerala High Court had on May 30 granted them bail with stringent conditions and they are now staying in Kochi.
