Farmers stage demonstration against proposed dam

Erode: Farmers belonging to 'Tamilaga Vivasayeegal Sangam' (farmers association) today staged a demonstration in Erode demanding that the Centre instruct the Kerala government to withdraw its proposed move to construct a dam across Bhavani at Attapadi in Palakkad district of that state.

Such a move will affect Erode and Coimbatore districts, farmers claimed.

The demonstration was lead by Sangam Secretary S Periyasamy.
