Bijapur: A case has been registered against five persons, including a person who married a minor girl at Shivanagi village, 35 km from here, police said on Friday.
A case was also filed against the parents of the groom and the bride on Thursday.
The bride was about 15 years old, police said.
Police said the marriage was performed even though they were aware that child marriage is a crime under law.
Local child development programme officer Nirmala H Surpur had lodged a complaint against the five, following which the police registered a case under provisions of the Child Marriage Prevention Act 2006.
