Bodies of three students, who went missing and were feared dead after drowning at the Kakinada beach were recovered on Monday, police said.
The bodies of Rajeet Kumar of Anakapalli, Visakhapatnam, Eswar Chandra of Vijayawada, Krishna, and Ajay Kumar were fished out today, they said.
Ten students of the Bachelor of Pharmacy course from the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada (JNTUK) had gone to play beach volleyball at the Uppada beach on Sunday when four of them drowned.
The body of one of the deceased, R Rajendra Prasad hailing from a village in Guntur district was retrieved yesterday, while the other three were untraceable.
The mishap occurred when their ball got tossed into the sea, following which Prasad and his three friends entered the waters to fetch the ball, police said.
All the students were aged between 20 and 25. Police launched massive search operations with the help of local fishermen to trace the missing students.
