Jayalalithaa thanked the German government for the assistance extended to various projects

Germany is keen on extending its assistance to the smart city project to be implemented in Coimbatore, German Ambassador to India Martin Ney told Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa.
Ney called on Jayalalithaa at the state secretariat on Tuesday, a Tamil Nadu government statement issued today in Chennai said.
According to the statement, Ney indicated the keenness of Germany to extend assistance to the smart city project to be implemented in Coimbatore.
He informed Jayalalithaa that a delegation including business leaders would be visiting Coimbatore on July 20 to have further detailed discussions with the Mayor and other officials of Coimbatore city.
Jayalalithaa thanked the German government for the assistance extended to various projects in Tamil Nadu by KfW and the continued investment by German companies in Tamil Nadu.
