Head constable stabs Sub-Inspector to death

Tirunelveli: A Sub-Inspector was on Thursday stabbed to death by a head constable near Surandai police station, 35 km from Tirunelveli, police said.

Police said Esakki (56) died after he was stabbed by Shanmugaraj who held him responsible for his transfer to another station in the district.

Both the victim and Shanmugaraj were working at the same police station.

Shanmugaraj is absconding.
