Chennai:
Rains continued to lash many parts of South India, with the weather office forecasting more showers for Wednesday.
"Heavy rainfall has occurred at isolated places over Rayalaseema and South Interior Karnataka between 0830 hours IST of yesterday to 0830 hours IST of today," India Meterological Department (IMD) said in a bulletin.
For its forecast for November 4, the regional weather office here said that rain or thundershower would occur at many places over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Coastal and South interior Karnataka, Kerala and at a few places over Lakshadweep, North interior Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh.
Dry weather will prevail over Telangana, it added.
In Tamil Nadu, many areas received good spells of rain, with Tirumayam in Pudukottai district topping with 8cm.
Mylaudy (Kanyakumari Dist), Melur (Madurai Dist), Rameswaram (Ramanathapuram District) and Nagapattinam followed with 5 cm each as per rainfall statistics available at 8.30 am today.
