Chennai: More than 40 Royal Enfield motorcycle enthusiasts made heads turn in Puducherry on Tuesday for a different cause: 100 per cent polling and ethical voting.

The motorcyclists, on a 60 km rally, criss-crossed the union territory. Puducherry had registered 82 per cent polling in the 2014 Lok Saha polls.

Felix, President of the Pondicherry Unleashed Bulleteers Club, said, "People should understand the value of votes and they should not make any mistake but vote for a good candidate".

Jerome, another biker, added "We hope we would touch 90 or 100 per cent polling this time".

The Election Commission also has a selfie corner on the promenade. Voters can click a selfie with RK Narayan's Common Man character that says my vote is not for sale.
