Visakhapatnam:
Chintapalle police arrested two inter-state ganja smugglers today and seized 20 kg of the contraband as well as Rs 37,000 in cash when they were transporting it in a car near Antarla area under Chintapalle mandal in Vizag agency area in the district.
However, a local ganja trader managed to flee from the spot after observing the police team.
Acting on tip-off, the police intercepted a car bearing a Madhya Pradesh registration number and seized ganja, cash and three mobile phones as well as the vehicle.
Those arrested have identified as Niraj Singh and Rajesh Kumar Tiwari.
The police said that the third accused Balakrishna fled from the spot.
The police has registered a case under Section 20 (B) of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act and an investigation is on.
