Thiruvananthapuram: The fifth edition of the International Documentary and Short Film Festival of Kerala (IDSFFK) will begin in Thiruvananthapuram on Friday
The five-day festival, organised by the Kerala State Chalachitra Academy, would open with the screening of "Lok Nath Retold", directed by Rajula Sha.
Noted filmmaker Gaoutham Ghosh would inaugurate the festival at the state-owned Kalabhavan theatre and nearby Trans Towers.
A total of 1,000 delegates and 200 guests are expected to participate in the festival.
The competition segment of the festival comprises 23 short documentaries, nine long documentaries, 34 short fictions, seven music videos, 14 animation films and seven campus films.
Special packages of films from Afghanistan and Africa would be a major attraction at the festival.
