Karnataka Chief Minister Jagadish Shettar has expressed profound grief at the death of famous Kannada detective novelist Sudharshana Desai at Dharwad.
"An exemplary teacher by profession and a popular writer, Sudarshana Desai had given a new dimension to the detective novels section of contemporary Kannada literature. He was conferred many state and national awards for his writing. In his death, the state has lost a talented writer", he said in his condolence message
Mr Desai, 68, who was suffering from acute diabetes and high blood pressure for the past several months, died in a private hospital in Dharwad on Tuesday.
