A helicopter in which Karnataka Chief Minister Jagadish Shettar was travelling on Friday made an emergency landing at an airstrip in Haveri district following a technical snag.
The helicopter was scheduled to land at Ucchangidurga helipad at 11.45 am, but landed at the Kumarapatnam airstrip at noon due to the snag, police said.
On receiving information of the emergency landing, the escort team rushed to the airstrip to fetch Shettar, who was scheduled to attend a function at Ucchangidurga, police said.
