Hyderabad: YSR Congress party president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Tuesday paid floral tributes to his father and late chief minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy at his "samadhi" (grave) at Idupulapaya in Kadapa district of Andhra Pradesh.
Accompanied by his mother YS Vijayamma, wife Bharathi and other family members, Mr Reddy participated in a prayer meeting at the "samadhi" in the family estate.
The Kadapa MP paid floral tributes to YSR, who died in a helicopter crash four years ago.
This was his first visit outside Hyderabad after his release on conditional bail last week. The court on Monday allowed him to visit Idupulapaya but refused to give permission for going to Guntur, where the young leader wanted to address a public meeting to oppose proposed bifurcation of the state.
Mr Reddy was released on bail last Tuesday after spending nearly 16 months in jail in a disproportionate assets case. The CBI special court had directed him not to leave Hyderabad without its permission.
He reached Kadapa by a train from Hyderabad early Tuesday. Hundreds of his supporters welcomed him at the railway station and later at Idupulapaya.
