Chennai: AIADMK supremo and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa will make a whirlwind tour of the by-poll bound Puthukottai Assembly constituency on June 9 to campaign for her nominee VR Karthik Thondaiman, the party said.
The Chief Minister will campaign at nine places in the constituency on Saturday where her party is locked in a direct face-off with the main opposition, Vijayakant-led DMDK.
DMK is not facing the electoral challenge even as the ruling party had thumped opposition parties--DMDK, DMK and MDMK in the March 18 Sankarankoil by-poll.
