Bangalore: A Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) court on Friday extended the judicial custody of former minister and mining baron G Janardhana Reddy and his personal assistant Mehfuz Ali Khan, arrested in connection with an illegal mining case, till May 10.
Additional Civil and Sessions Court Judge and CBI special court judge BM Angadi passed the order after CBI moved an application seeking extension of the custody.
Mr Reddy and Mr Khan, lodged in Bangalore central prison, were produced in court via video-conferencing.
Associated Mining Corporation (AMC) and Deccan Mining Syndicate (DMC) owner Mr Reddy and his wife Aruna Lakshmi have been facing probe over charges of illegal mining.
Meanwhile, hearing on bail pleas of Mr Reddy and Mr Khan were also adjourned to May 10.
